He states that unpainted area must be very small to inhibit the bird's injury. On the other hand, small unpainted reduce the view of outdoors.
Third, the reading makes the argumentation that because a bird can sense the earth magnetic fields, using some material that emits magnetic signal can help the bird to avoid glasses. The professor refutes this claim by pointing out that birds use this ability to migration and they don't use it for short distance like moving from one building to another one. Therefore, putting a magnetic field in glasses is not a good idea.
