TPO 45 Task 1: about existence of bees in 200 million years ago
The question is “Did bees exist on earth as early as 200 million years ago?”, which some skeptics beleive the answer is no, Moreover, the ysupport their view with several arguments such as no fossils of actual bees, absence of flowering plants and structures lack some details, which there are detailed explanation on each of these reasons. However, in contrast, the professor totaly thinks the answer of the stated question is yes, which I will discuss them in the following paragraphs.
First, she admits that it is true that the earliest preserved body of a bee is 100 million years old, Nevertheless, it doesn’t support the claim that they were not existed before that time, Moreover, One of the most important things that led to bee’s body preservation is a kiond of sticky liquid which produced by trees that they were rare before 100 millio years ago.
Second, the professor mentioned the close mutual relationship between the bees and fowers, albeight, She believes that there were non-flowering bees before the flowering-bees, And the flower, which they started to adopt to fit on them.
Third, as the reading states. Some fossilized structures lack some of the finer details of bees’ nest, However, the professor’s counter reason was based on a chemical theory, which both the bees’ nest have some water-profing matter that is adiqute to accept the theory that the bees were exist in that period of time.
