Actually, both the passage and the lecture comment about the legislation that should be enacted for smokers and people who buy unhealthy foods. Although the writing brings three hypotheses in order to prove the fact that high taxes would be impressive and beneficial for both the society and humans, the lecturer puts those theories under question. According to the professor's expressions, none of the declared reasons are convincing.
First, as illustrated by the article, people will be obliged to decrease their adverse behaviors including smoking cigarettes and eating junk foods. Finally, the penman sets forth the thought that the country will be more prosperous by using the collected money which has been achieved by the tax. For instance, Governments can construct more buildings, etc. On the contrary, the lecturer doesn't acknowledge the idea by indicating that such a principle encourages federals to pay less attention to relevant regulations. For example, they will allow people to smoke in public places.
