TPO INTEGRATED 42

There has been some debates among whether there are ways to prevent birds from getting injured by glass while they are flying. The lecture says that there are no way to prevent the birds form getting injured. However, the reading refutes, it claims that there are three possible solutions to prevent the birds from getting injured.

The first point of dispute is if the one way glass will prevent the birds from any injures. The lecturer says that the one way glass reflects as mirrors and birds did not understand mirrors, when they see the reflection of the sky or the trees in the glass they think that it is true and they  fly through the glass. However, the reading refutes this point by saying that one way glass will protect the birds from injuries because it is transparent from only one direction, so birds will think it is a solid barrier.

Another controversial issue is if colorful designs will protect birds from injuries. The lecture contents that the birds will not understand the small  openings  in the strips designs and they will think they are small holes and fly through them. Also, if we remove the opening from the designs the rooms will be too dark. But, the author of the reading opposes this point saying that the designs with small opening will prevent the birds from getting injured. Also the opening allow  the light to pass on to the rooms .

The final point of dispute is if the magnetic field will prevent the birds from getting injured.
The lecture asserts that birds only use magnetic field while they are migrating for a long distance. However, for short distances bird use their eye and the bright light to navigate. Yet, the passage disagrees. it claims that the magnetic field on the building will prevent birds from getting injured while they are flying and help them to navigate in the right directions.
