Communication is a paramount element of our lives since the origins of humankind. With the help of technology and better postal services, nowadays it is possible to communicate using tools such as the traditional letters, emails or telephone calls. I personally prefer to use the telephone because trough this tool is possible to have faster and closer communication with other persons and at the same time is possible to save money by using this technology.
Some may say that technology is making communications and conversations less important since it is possible to have talk with friends or parents with more frequency. In the era where letters used to be the only way to communicate trough distance, people used to get more anxious and happy when they received a letter and could be able to share emotions and ideas with someone else. At the same time, there is people how also believes that technology make society spend more money in order to communicate with each other.
While these perspectives have fair points, they ignore some essential elements that technology such as cellphones bring to our society. This technology actually allows us to fell closer to people that we like to be together with but cannot be in a right moment. For instance, Apple devices offer an applicative called Facetime where people can make video calls which can be useful when a person is missing someone and wants to have a sort of face to face conversation with the other person.
Moreover, nowadays it is possible to buy a lot of telephone devices from a broad range of companies which reduced the prices of mobiles devices, allowing people to use it more frequently. Since there is a lot of mobile phones users, it is possible to note that there is also a good amount of companies selling services to these users. Thus, these services in general have small prices and some of them offer promotion packages where buyers could make phone calls and use internet trough their mobile devices with attractive prices. In this sense, communications trough telephone might not be as expensive as many people states.
In conclusion, we can state that telephones represent a good technology to communicate. They are useful to make people be closer with each other even when they are talking trough distance and at the same time cellphones might be a cheap communication tool.
