It is clear that the total amount of money spent was AED 315 billion. The investment in social security took up the most proportion, whereas the money spent on transport was the lowest amount.
The cost of social security was by far higher than the other sectors, with AED 100 billion, and the sector of health and personal social services was the second most invested area, with AED 53 billion. Government spending on education and defence was AED 38 billion and AED 22 billion, respectively.
Interestingly, the amounts of other expenditure and debt interest were identical, at AED 23 billion. The government spent each on Law and order, and housing heritage and environment, with AED 17 billion and AED 15 billion of budget, followed by AED 13 billion spent on industry, agriculture and employment. The least popular area that attracted the investment was transport where merely AED 9 billion was spent.
