The bar chart gives information about the number of houses annually constructed in Derby and Nottingham between 2000 and 2009.
In general, it can be seen that in both areas, the figure for constructing houses had an upward trend during the period. People living in Derby had more homes built in comparison with those in Nottingham.
At the beginning of the period, 50 houses were built in Nottingham, while there were around 45 houses in Derby. In 2002, an increase to 70 homes was seen in the figure for building houses in Derby and higher than those in Nottingham. In the next four years, Derby witnessed a stable trend with 110 new houses, while the construction of houses in Nottingham gradually grew to 70 after falling to a low of nearly ten.
In 2007, 190 brand-new buildings were constructed in Nottingham compared to 100 in Derby. In the latter year, people constructed 240 and 250 houses in Derby and Nottingham respectively.
