Rambrant was known for his masterpieces as a Dutch painter in seventheenth-century. Some experts cast doubt on the originality of one of his artifacts named "Portrait of an Elderly Woman in a White Bonnet" claimed not been created by his own, while there are counter responses to these comments. Reasons discussing this argument presented in three main categories as bellow.

First of all, experts express the object in the portrait, the woman, wears white linen cap proofing she was servant while having a super-expensive collar contradicts her costume and social class in which they hardly could afford these dresses. Critics believe such this inconsistency could not be made by Rambrant. The lecturer absolutely rejects this idea, by providing new fact about the painting, telling it was manipulated nearly one hundred years after its creature and luxurious collar was painted in this stage in order to increase painting value.

More over, although Rambtant was highly skilled in delineating light and shadows, the painting shows flagrant mistakes in illustration, which can a be another evident of in originality of masterpiece. The lecturere also denies this idea by expressing that the original painting illustered high level of skill which definitely endorses its creator, Rambrant . But errors in shadows and light distribution made in further manipulations.

Finally, Critics declare about the back of the paitind which made by multy wooden pieces, while Rambrant never painted on panels with this feature. The lecturer also responses this argument by expressing that original painting was made on single panels but in future it rehabilitated with some extra sticks in order to make it more valuable. The analysis of panel woods also indicates complete similarity with other Rambrants panels which all are from unique tree.
