The reading passage and the lecture both discuss the carved stone balls. These stone balls found at many areas in Scotland. The author states that three possible argumentations about the mystery use of them. While the professor says, no one of these theories are persuasive.
First, the author claims that these stone balls utilized as weapons during the war. However, the professor casts douth at this point by explaining that there are neither marks nor cracks on the surface of the stone balls. Conversely. The surface of these balls are smooth and another things we have to but in the consideration that during the war a lot of the arrows were used. Besides, these arrows caused massive damages to the surface of the stone balls, and nothing likes this happened.
Second, the reading passage stats the using of the stone balls for weighting. But the professor claims that by telling the average weight of each stone balls differ from other even the same size. And this because the substances used in making these balls are different such as graves or other.
Third, the author discusses that these engrave balls were anticipated for social means. Moreover, the speaker explains that these balls not buried beside the famous person to consider them as special meaning. And these balls were not complicated, but they are so simple in design to determine them as a social meant.
