The below line graph depicts the details about the number of packages distributed by two most important mail service companies for 8 consecutive decades starting from the year 1920 to 2000.
Overall, It was noticed that maximum number of packets were allotted by Federal Express. However, this trend didn’t survived for too long, when TNT surpassed Federal Express in mid 1986.
It was observed in the year 1920, that almost thrice the number of packs were distributed by federal express as compared to TNT, which was just slightly above 5000. In 1940, there was huge increase in the items delivered by federal express it was around 24000, at that moment it was at peak level. Similarly, with TNT minimal increment was noted approximately 7500 items was distributed. In 1950, federal express fell down close to 11,500 as compared to previous decade. In contrast, with TNT there was a small growth of about 8000.
From 1970, federal express showed an upsurge in their shipments and after a decade it was about 19000. Moreover, it remained unchanged for almost 2 decades. Ultimately, in mid 1986; TNT overtook federal express and their distribution showed approximately 22,500. Furthermore, in the year 2000 again there was moderate growth it was just slightly below 25000.
