A nation should require all of its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter college

I totally agree with the author's statement about the curriculum. A nation should have only one curriculum. Education should be equal to all and it should not bring any disparity or differences between the students.

There are so many education boards in our nation, the most common being the state board, ICSE and CBSE. The three different boards have different syllabus. One is of higher level and other is the lower level while one is the moderate level. This itself creates differences between the students. For example CBSE is tougher than the state board as they have many subjects which the state board students don't have. This creates a lot of opportunities for the CBSE students as compared to those of the state board as they know more. Knowledge should be imparted equally to everyone.

These different kinds of curriculum are also indirectly affecting the carrier of the students as they are not able to decide what they want. Because the students of lower board do not get a full knowledge of the subjects, they stay confused in selecting their subjects and sometimes take a wrong decision. The best example is that of employees of the IT Company. There are so many students who after taking commerce do NIITcourse and join the IT sector. Both are completely different streams. Also this lowers the opportunities to the students who are interested in that line and are very efficient.

The college life can vary in curriculum as the students would be studying only their area of interest. But the school curriculum should be same as it creates a concrete for the future of the students.
