The bar graph elucidates the percentage of people living in five sub-continents such as Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America, and the whole world.

Overall, it is clear that the proportion of people is growing and is expected to increase in the long run. While the highest percentage of people resides in North America, the lowest portion of people dwells in Africa.

Now, turning into the details, there was a gradual increase in the rate of population in Africa which was 15% in 1950, 37% in 2007, and is expected to soar in 51% in 2030. In Asia, the percentage of the population was approximately the same as Africa from 1950 to 2007 and experience an increase in 2030 by 3% compared to the rate of population in 2007. In the case of most populated continents, such as Europe, in 1950, the percentage of people which accounts for 51%, was considerably lower than the portion of people which makes up 72% in 2007 and will be slightly climbed by 6% in 2030. Regarding the population in Latin America, the proportion of the population will be doubled from 1950 to 2030 by 42% to 84%. In contrast, the slow increase in the population saw in North America in 1950 at 64%, 79% in 2007 and expecting 87% in 2050. The world population escalated from 29% in 1950 to 49% in 2007 , but in 2050, the world will become overpopulated by 60%.
