The bar chart illustrates the percentage of physical activity performed by the Australian men and women belonging to different age groups.
Overall, in the year 2010 the rate of regular physical exercise by male experiences a downward trend while it shows an upward trend for their counterparts as they grew old.
In the age group of 15-24, the percentile of activity carried out by men is higher than the women with 52.8 and 47.7 respectively. However, the proportion of physical activity declines to the lowest of 39.5% of males carrying out exercises regularly. Then it grows to 46.7% of males falling under age bracket of 65 and above working out.
On the other hand, in women the amount of physical activity surges from 47.7 percentile in the age group 15-24 to the highest 53.3 percentile in 45-54 age group. Nevertheless, it drops slightly to 53% for women aging between 55-64, and plunges more to the entire-time low for the age group 65 and above and ends at 47.1%.
Finally, to conclude that the percentage of physical activity observed by the females increases considerably as their age progresses while in men it decreases substantially.
