The digram above demonstrates the proportion of female and male in various age categories who engaged in physical activity regularly in the year of 2010. A quick analysis of this chart may lead to such a conclusion that the percentage of female was higher than that of male, except the outlier of the youngest group.

As can be seen from the chart, the figure for male who involved into physical activity decreased steadily during the first three age groups, while the data of female experienced an opposite pattern, increasing consistently. To be specifically, the percentage of men in the youngest age group was more than a half of the whole, and then it dropped to 39.5% in the group aged between 35 and 44, when the bottom was reached. When it comes to female, the proportion of which inclined from below a half (47.7%) to above the 50% (52.5%) from the group aged in 15-16 to the middle group. It is worthy mentioning that the largest disparity showed at the group aged between 35 and 44,with the percentage of women was 3% more than men.

In terms of the cohort aged above 45. The gap between female and male as for the percentage of people attending physical activity, was narrowed gradually in the three following age groups. The figure for male climbed from 43.1% in the group aged 45-54,to 46.7% in the oldest group, while the proportion of female experienced the decline from the highest point (53.3%) in the fourth group to 47% in the last group. Notably, the percentage of male and female was almost same in the final age group.
