the bar chart shows the global sales (in billions of dollars) of different types of digital games between 2000 and 2006.

The bar graph provides the information about the earnings of five different digital game sold in international market between 2000 and 2006 in billion of dollars.

Overall, there were upward trends in the sales of handheld, online, and mobile phone games, while it saw a decline pattern on the sales of console game. Another striking point is that handheld games was the highest sales over period.

With regards handheld games, the figures was about 10 billion dollars in the beginning and then increased gradually until 2004 at about 16 billion dollars. The earnings then remained constant in the next year before having a sharp increase to finish at just under 18 billion dollars in 2006. In contrast, the sales of console game had a gradual drop during period. Starting at about 6 billion dollars in 2000, the figures continued to decline steadily year by year and finished at 3 billion dollar in 2006.

The income from the sales of mobile phone had almost same with online games. Although there was no sales of mobile games in the two beginning years, it then shared the equal earnings with online games at about 2 billion dollars in 2002 and 4 billion dollars in 2004 . These two figures continued to rise and finished at 7 billion dollars (mobile phone games) and 9 billion dollars (online games) in 2006.
