The chart gives information about the figures in percentage terms for the highest qualifications attained by both women and men in 2001 and 2002.

The qualification called GCE A level and GCSE grade A to C is attained the most by both genders. The number of males in GCE A level is just over a quarter but for females, it is 15%. However, there is a reverse pattern in GCSE grade A-C, 18% and 28% by males and females respectively.

The percentage is 11% for females and 13% for males in degree while it is 9% and approximately 8% for women and men respectively in higher education qualification. Nevertheless, a high proportion of both males and females attain no qualifications. About 25% of females got no qualifications and the number is 20% for males. The percentage for other qualifications is 11% for females and 12% for males.

The overall picture is that both genders mostly got GCE A level and GCSE grade A-C, likewise mostly they got no notifications at all.
