The average time figure for different activities of teenagers in Chester in the period of 5 years beginning in 2002 is depicted in the bar chart. There are seven categories in total which are going to pubs/discos, watching TV, shopping, doing homework, doing sport, watching DVDs and bowling.
From tge prospective outlook, watching television has been the most prevalent among teenagers. Apart from that, the amount of time spent on pubs/discos, watiching TV and shopping witnessed an upward trend, while a conflicting movement was recorded in the remaining activities.
From a quich glance to the statistics of going to pubs, watching TV and shopping, from 2002 to 2004, the weekly time figure for pubs climbed minimally by nearly 10 hours, while that of watching television was approximately 2 times more significant. Initially, the data of time for watching TV stabilized at 25 hours, then surged by 5 hours in 2004, however, that of shopping rose by 5 hours at first, then remained unchanged until 2004. Between 2005 and 2007, there was a substantially increase to a peak in three mentioned categories.
Moving on to analyse the remaining part of the chart, in the fisrt three years depicted, the amount of time spent on doing homework, sport and bowling decreased slightly, contradictorily, teenagers spent more time on watching DVDs which led to a peak in 2004 at nearly 25 hours. Finally, all four entities recorded a remarkable drop to the lowest point in 2007.
