The bar char illustrates how cars were used by European people, one in a thousand, in five different countries over the three periods 2005, 2009 and 2015.

Overall, it can be seen that Germany accounted for the highest number of cars use. Over the years, the used of cars became more popular for people in Europe.

In 2005, the use of cars was the most popular in Germany and in contrast, this trend was converted in the figure for Greece. There was a similar number in car used in France and UK, which was just under 700 people in every 1000. The next country was Italy in terms of popularity, at 500 people. About 700 people was the number of cars used in 2005 and 2009 in terms of European average, this figure went up to nearly 800 people in the end of the period.

In comparison, there was a dramatic increase in the number of cars use in Greece in the next four years, which was at 400 people. In contrast, UK and Germany witnessed a drop in the cars use to only 600 and around 850 people respectively. In Italy, after having risen approximately to 580 people in 2009, the number of cars used was fell to just above 500 people. France was the only country that remain unchanged in 10 years period, at 700 people.
