Conversely, the proportion of medium and small firms using social networking sites for business purposes witnessed a steady increase to 48% and 35% in turns. After hitting the bottom at 55% in 2015, large companies' usage of social media suddenly surged to 79% in 2016. A similar trend was recorded in small and medium corporations, as these figures experienced a steep decline to 30% in 2015, then bounced back to around 50% at the end of the period.
