The chart below gives the information about Southland s main exports in 2000 2014 and future projections for 2025

The bar chart illustrates the current export revenues of Southland's three major exports and a prediction of the export for 2025. It can be observed from the graph that products like Dairy have registered a sudden growth while other major products follow a steady trend.

International tourism remains a major exporter for Southland by displaying a steady increase in revenue from about 8 billion dollars by one billion in 2018. The future prediction is inline with the current trend. Compared to this, meat exports seem to face downwards with exports showing a decrease of half billion dollars. Also, the exports predicted for meat in 2025 is expected to be lesser than its figures in 2018.

One surprising development however, is the meteoric rise in Southland's dairy exports. The exports revenue from Dairy products had crossed that of Tourism and by 2018, Diary products has emerged as the major exporter for Southland. But the future predictions indicate that Tourism shall regain its top position as dairy is expected to decrease in its overall exports by 2025.

To conclude, the share of three major exporters in Southland's exports displayed a shift from Tourism to Dairy products but the predictions for 2025 indicate that Tourism shall again become the top exporter. On the other hand, Meat products shall continue to constitute lesser percentage of the main exports for Southland.
