The given chart illustrates the conversions that took place in burglary, car theft and robbery in Newport city core between 2003 and 2012. Overall, It can be seen that the highest proportion of crimes occured between 2003 and 2006, after then decreased significantly until 2008 and then boosted rapidly till 2012.
According to the chart, the levels of crimes in burglary peaked at approximately 3750 incidents in 2004, while car theft and robbery incidents begun to fall slightly(2600 and 800 respectively).
Furthermore, all three diverse field of crime decreased considerably from 2005 to 2008. At that period burglary and robbery accidents hit a trough at 1200 and 500 cases respectively.
However thre was a dramatic growth in the number of occasions from 2009 to 2012 compared to previous period that is 2005-2008. The quantity of incidents occured in car theft peaked in this period at nearly 3000, but burglary and robbery crime accident remained steadily until 2012.
