The chart illustrates the frequency when Americans dined at fast-food restaurants in 2003, 2006 and 2013.

Overall, Americans mostly ate fast-food once a week in all years surveyed. By contrast, eating fast food everyday was not popular to Americans.

In 2003, over 30% of Americans ate at fast-food restaurant once a week, this figure then saw a slight increase to 33% in 2006 before dropping to under 30% in 2013. The value for frequency of once or twice per month experienced a volatility between 30% and 33% during the period of 10 years. Another data, also became unstable, is the data for several times per week factor. This data started at around 18% in 2003 before climbing to 20% in 2006 and finally fell to nearly 15% in 2013.

Regarding the percentage of Americans who ate fast-food on a daily basis, there was a gradual decrease to approximately 4% in 2006 and remained at this level to 2013. Following the same trend, the value for Americans who have not been at fast-food restaurants ever also fell slightly during the first 3 years before maintaining at 4% in 2006 and 2013.
