The chart below shows the male and female fitness membership between 1970 and 2000. Summarise the information by reporting main feature and make comparison where possible.

The bar graph below provides data about number of men and women fitness membership from 1970 to 2000.
As an overall trend in first fifteen years male membership was higher than female, whereas this number increased for women in next fifteen till 2000 with exception in 1995 when men number peaked.
In 1970 number of males was double than female as 1000 and 2000 number ratio. While in coming five years this number double for men with comparison women, when women were 2000 in digits and men were 40000. In 1985 this number slightly decreased for females about 1800 in figures but males numbers greatly shrinked to approximately 2500.
However, in 1990 reverse trend observed, female figures climbed to 2900 while men fall to1900. And in 1990 both genders digits were same 2100. In 1995 a huge rise in males membership observed 5000 whereas female number were 2800. In 2000 both sexes number plunged 2000 for females and its half 1000 for men, which was lowest number for males with compare to last century.
