Given is a column chart illustrating the proportion of adults of various age groups using the Internet on daily basis over the period of 3 years starting from 2003 in Great Britian.
As can be seen from the graph, it is clearly evident that people aging between 16 and 24 showed the greatest utilization of the Internet. Additionally, the figure for Internet users grew with time regardless of their age.
Looking at the chart in more detail, young adults of age 16 to 24 shared the same percentage of Internet users in the first two years, at 80%, followed by the most remarkably growth with the peak point of 100% in the following year before dropping slightly to 90% in 2006. Similarly, 25-44 and 45-54 age group both witnessed a gradual rise to 80% in 2006, with the former rising from 50% and the latter from 60% at the beginning of researching time.
At the same period of time, older age group were unlikely to enjoy using the Internet. In 2003, just about 30% elderly British aged 55 to 64 utilize the Internet everyday and this figure went up to 50% in the next three years. Meanwhile, the remaining category, over-65-year-old individuals had the lowest proportion in the end of time period with a slight 20% increase.
