The proportion of real-estates owned and rented in England and Wales from 1918 till 2011 is illustrated in the bar chart below.
Overall, it is clearly visible that quantity of rental accommodation was increasing over the period, however, owned households were decreasing.
As for firs part of the period between 1918 and 1971 year the percentage of families owning the facilities was much more over than rental accommodations. if we look at the bar chart showing 1918 year, we can observe that households in owned accommodation are slightly more than tree fourth, being more than rentals by almost 50%. After that proportion of owned estates is fluctuating down and to 50% in 1971 year and becoming equal to the amount of the rented demesnes.
From 1971 till 2011 the chart is showing opposite proportion than in previous time segment. With respect to past tendency number of owned estates was sharpen go down from 50% to 31% in 2001, and slightly went up to 35 in the end of the period. Unlike to owned households, the proportion of rented estates was constantly increasing from 50% to 69% in 1971 and 2001 respectively, and little bit felt down by 5% in the 2011.
