The bar chart demonstrated people’s drinking coffee preferences in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart. There were three main options: buying fresh coffee, buying instant coffee and going to a café.
According to the graph, going to a café was the most popular choice for people in the five cities except those who live in Adelaide. In there, instant coffee was the top option and fresh coffee followed closely. Meanwhile, buying fresh coffee was the least common choice for people in all five cities.
Looking at the image, we can see around 64% of people in Melbourne drank a cup of coffee or tea in a café in the last 4 weeks, ranking as highest proportions among the five cities. Residents in Hobart also preferred drinking a cup of coffee or tea in a café (63%) while those who purchased instant coffee was the highest percentage (54.5%). In Brisbane and Adelaide, people rarely drank fresh coffee at home with only 34% of investigators bought coffee beans in the past four weeks.
