The chart shows the percentage of groups of companies in Australia which used social media for business purposes between 2012 and 2016.
The given bar chart describes the proportion of small, medium, and large businesses in Australia that used social media for business reasons over the course of 5 years, starting from 2012.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that more and more companies in all groups had social media presence throughout the survey period, except for the dramatic decrease in 2015. It is also apparent that the demand for using social media in large businesses was by far the highest compared 2 remaining groups.
In 2012, there was almost 30% of small companies used social media for working reasons. This figure fluctuated slightly between its original number and approximate 35% in the first 4 years before reaching the peak of half in 2016. A roughly similar trend was seen in the number for medium businesses where it grew by 20% from more than 30% over the period.
Nearly 80% of companies in the large group had social media presence at the beginning of the surveyed period. This number was almost unchanged during 5 years, except for the year 2015, when it hit the bottom of just over 50%.
