The two charts illustrate the difference of tourism in UK during 1979 and 1999 as well as the top 5 popular countries that UK residents had visited in 1999.

As the first line graph shows, it is conspicuous that the traveling of both to and from UK had a continual increase between 1979 and 1999. They both started from around 10 millions visits while the numbers of travelling to UK up to nearly 30 millions and the amounts of visiting abroad from UK was over 50 millions times after 2 decades. It is also notable that both of the data experienced a more sharp increase from around 1986 to 1999, while the increase of the data of UK residents going overseas could be described as dramatic at the same time.

The second bar line gives some information about the top 5 popular countries that UK residents visited in 1999. Over 10 millions UK residents visited France, which is the most popular destination, followed by Spain at approximately 9 millions. The USA and Greece had about 4 millions and 3 millions visitors respectively. Turkey is last on the list, only had about 2 millions UK residents chose there.
