As it is the most highlighted from the graph, the divorces rate of americans was always lower than the figure of marriages over 3 decades. moreover, it is important to note that in 1970 and 2000, the percentages of married were the highest figure of the second chart.
it is noticeable that the number of marriages were larger than the rate of divorce in 30 years. Interestingly, from 1970 to 1980, the rate of marriages was exactly the same, which accounted for 2.5 million people. In 2000, marrying rate finalized at 2 million and plummeted in total 0.5 million people who wed. The break up rate did not show any significant change, except for the rate in 1980, which rose up to almost 1.5 million and then gradually fell until 2000.
moreover, married status showed the highest figure in marital status graph. married status reached more than a half in the beginning of the period and 60% in the year 2000. Followed by was the never married status, which reached 15% and 20% in 1970 and 2000, respectively. Widowed and divorced were the two lowest percentage categories, which were below 10%.
