The chart illustrates the proportion of population differentiate by age in two cities of Yemen and Italy in the year 2000 together with the projections for 2050. Overall, Yemen and Italy were really different regarding on the population.
In 2000, the biggest population in Yemen belonged to the group of 0-14 years with 50.10%, which occupied half of the city. Followed with 46.30% of population from group of 15-59 years, and in addition to that, this city had only 3.60% of people with age more than 60 years. However, Yemen prognosticate that the proportion of elderly with age more than 60 years, would be doubled to nearly 6%. Group of 15-59 years also gain some populations because the measurement increased drastically to exactly 57.30%. Lastly, people in between of 0-14 years, faced some reduction in percentage which fell to 37%.
In the other hand, Italy did not have similar level of population as Yemen. In early 2000, group of 15-59 years nearly occupied three fourth of the city with approximately 61.60%, unfortunately, Italy predicted it would also decreased extremely to 46.20%. The second biggest proportion belonged to group of elderly and group of 0-14 years came in last, with 24.10% and 14.30% respectively. The latter would experience a loss of around 3%, hence, it would become 11.50% of the city population. Moreover, group of more than 60 years, would be having population which will be twice from the previous 50 years.
