The charts below show the levels of participations in education and science in developing and industrialized countries in 1980 to 1990.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The following charts illustrate to what extent developing and industrialized countries participated in education and science in a decade of 1980 to 1990.
As can be clearly observed from the charts, three measure of average years of schooling, number of scientists and technicians per 1000 people, and money spending on research and development were surveyed. The first chart provides information about the average years people spent on schools. It experienced in both developing and modern countries a significant rise. The increase in former countries was from a bit more than 2 years to around 3 years, while it increased from 8 years in 1980 to nearly 10 years of 1990 in latter countries.
Turning to the second chart, unlike developing countries which witnessed a slight climb from about 10 to approximately 18 during 1980 to 1990, the number of scientists and technicians per 1000 went up dramatically in industrialized regions from 40 to virtually 70 at the same course. Regarding the third chart, whereas money which was spent in R&D section became double in modern countries, it declined significantly from $50 million to about $10 million in developing countries in 1990.
Overall, it is clear from the charts that industrialized countries experienced far more remarkable rise in all three sections. On the other hand, the rise of developing countries was not as considerable as modern counterparts, albeit one measure went down during 1980 to 1990.
