the charts below show the number of visitors arriving in a particular country for a short trip, and the number of residents leaving that country for a short trip, from 2009 to 2011. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given line chart displays how many foreigner arrivals and resident departures happen in a particular country in terms of a short trip between October 2009 to October 2011. Overall, it is manifest that the number of citizens going out of the country for short trip showed an upward trend, whereas the number of foreigners visiting that country had a downward trend.
Starting with the foreigners, whose number of visits started around 490 thousand in October 2009 and flattened out at 500 thousand from February to May in 2010. Although the figure had increased again before reaching its peak at over 520 thousand visitors in October 2010, it dropped steadily after that, returning to around 490 thousand people in June 2011.
Shifting to the residents of the country, whose numbers of departures showed a dramatically growth over the period, starting from 550 thousand of leaving in October 2009 to its highest point around 650 thousand in June 2011. Besides that, during the period, there was no sight of declining in its number.
