Overall, highest percentage of students were able to speak Spanish language in addition with English. However, equal proportion of British students speak German language through out ten year time period.
In 2000, 30% of University students were able to speak Spanish language in addition to english.which was the highest percentage among all other languages.To following this, 20% of British students know only English .Apart from English they did not able to speak other language. The equal proportion of British students know German and two other languages.which was 10% . Besides that, equal percentage (15%) of University students were able to speak French and another language.
In 2010, the proportion of British students who were able to speak Spanish language were increased from 30% to 35% .In addition to this , the percentage of University students who know another language and two other language in addition to English were increased . It is interesting to note that ,equal percentage (10%) of University students were able to speak French, German and no other language.
