The pie charts indicate the proportion of British students studing at a university in the UK who could speak languages other than mother tongue in 2000 and 2010 in 6 categories(No other language, french only, german only, spanish only, another language and two other languages).

Overall, the category that remained as the highest proportion from 2000 and 2010 was spanish only, while the second largest proportion that students were able to use was changed from no other language in 2000 to another language in 2010.
The proportion of students who can speak only spanish increased from 30% in 2000 to 35% in 2010 as constantly recorded as the most overwhelming category among 6 categories. Likewise, another language and two other languages showed similar trend that increasing by 5% to 20% and 15% respectively in 2010.

On the other hand, students who cannot speack other language decreased by 10% from 20% in 2000 to 10% in 2010, which accounted for the second highest proportion in 2000 but not in 2010. The category of french only also fell over by 5% through out the period.
