The two bar charts given illustrate how many UK graduate and postgraduate students who opted for different destination in place of full-time work after finishing their college in 2008.
Overall, it is clear that the number of UK students decided to study further was highest in both groups, while a very small percentage of students started to work on a voluntary basis. Another key figure is that the number of graduates in each destination was exponentially higher than corresponding number of postgraduates.
In 2008, 29995 UK graduate students chose to study further, which was over ten times as high as the figure for postgraduate students in the same destination. The number of part time work was lower significantly with 17735 students. However the figure for postgraduates in the UK participating in part time job was just approximately 200 people lower than those who undertook further study.
Meanwhile, it can be seen in both charts the the lower number of students doing voluntary work or without work in the UK. There was 16235 unemployed graduates, the figure for postgraduates was nearly ten times lower. Likewise, the quantity of graduates worked on a voluntary basis was noticeable higher than that of postgraduates, accounted for 3500 adn 345 students, respectively.
