The given bar charts give information about different four jobs which graduate and postgraduate students did, except for full-time occupation in the UK, after they finished courses in 2008.

Overall, it can be seen that the general trend of vocational preferences performed by students who are graduates and postgraduates are similar. Doing further study was the most popular among both groups, while voluntary work consisted of the least number of students among them. However, the actual number of both groups categorised showed the significant differences.

As for the UK graduates, nearly 30,000 of students did further study, which was the largest figure and followed by about 17,740 of them who did work for part-time. Meanwhile, pupils who were not employed were not far behind with roughly 16,300 and those who did voluntary job comprised of only 3,500.

Similarly, the majority of postgraduates in the UK pursued further study with approximately 2,725 and which led to work for part-time with 2,535. On the other hand, pupils who were in unemployment and conducted voluntary work made up only 1625 and 345 people respectively. Interestingly, the real number of UK graduates who made various careers were ten times larger than that of postgraduates.
