The line graph illustrates what enquires did the Tourist Information Office received in three different ways during a period of six months in the year 2011.
Overall, the whole survey period experienced that the figures for enquiries by telephone and in person increased sharply, while the number of enquires by letter or email declined significantly.
In January nearly 900 enquires were from telephone, so it was clearly the largest number among these inquiry methods. However, this figure grew to about 1600 at the end of June, despite dropping approximately to 800 in February and stagnating at 1000 between March and April.
By contrast, the number of enquires from individuals increased from about 450 in January to 1900 in June. After April, this figure overtook the other two ways, coming up the most popular inquiry method.
In addition, about less than 800 of enquires were by letter or email in January, and then this figure declined briefly to nearly 750. Also, the fall rate was faster than the previous stage(January to March) until May, leveling off at about 390.
