During day time, river water is allowing to channel through the High-level reservoir behind the dam while the intake is initiating, which finally drive the reversible turbines in the power station to produce electricity by the generator connected with power lines, transporting the energy to the national grid. Meanwhile, the water in the last step is stored in the low-level reservoir for further use.

When it comes to the night time, the stored water is pumped into the high-level reservoir across the closed intake.

To sum up, all progresses of generating electricity is well designed and fully descripped on the diagram, as well the flows of water in the day time and night time.
