The diagram below provides information about how electric current is manufactured by water in a hydroelectric power grid. we are going to describe the whole process of generation its reversible procedure and consist of Water storage, its transportation and finally electricity generation.
In forward process which accomplished in day time leads to current production in contrast backward procedure does not produce electricity but refill water resource.
In day time process water from river fill the high water reservoir in dam and from intake water which is open move by transmission lines to generate electricity. And the water transported to power station which consist of turbine rotate when water flow over it and produce energy which pass to generator. The energy produce in this process transport to national gride station by power lines. While water store in lower reservoir.
On the other hand, in night turbine move in oppisite direction to pump water to high water reservoir by passing through pipes and intake close at night and store in high reservoir.
