The diagrams show changes in a student common room

Essay topics:

The diagrams show changes in a student common room.

Given are the two maps depicting the transformations in the layout of the student shared room over the period of 5 years.
It is conspicuous that after five years, the room has undergone major renovation, adding facilities to serve students to study and entertain more comfortably.
Five years ago, the middle of the room was occupied by four 6-seater round tables. In addition, to maximize the quality of learning for students, the north side of the tables was coordinated with a row of convenient features from left to right, a sink, a cupboard, two benches, a microwave and a refrigerator respectively. Meanwhile, a cabinet was placed on the bottom right-hand corner.
To date, after being modified, the seating capacity of the room has also been increased significantly. Currently, the room has only 2 round tables, in the interim, a table with 8 seats and a bench of laptops for 4 people have taken up the space of the two removed sets of tables and chairs. The cabinet’s location is now used to place a TV with three comfortable chairs. Conversely, the range of convenient features for students also has experienced no change, except for the alteration of one bench by another newly-added microwave. The renovation is so modern that students can enjoy a drink using the drink machine located adjacent to the refrigerator.
