The first chart below shows how energy is used in an average Australian household. The second chart shows the greenhouse gas emissions which result from this energy use.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two pie charts provide information about usage of energy in an average Australian household and the amount of greenhouse gas emissions which from this energy use.

Based on the first chart, there are some major sources of energy namely, heating, cooling, lightening, water heating, refrigeration and other appliances, as you can observe heating has the biggest share among other (42%) and in the next stand is water heating usage (30%). It is immediately apparent that water heating shares in both pie charts are approximately equal which indicate that consumption of this sources (30%) is respectively equal to its greenhouse gas production (32%).

Apart from this, percentage of some of the sources in the first chart include refrigeration, lightening and other appliances (7%-4%-15%)are respectively doubled in the second chart (14%-8%-28%) which shows the demerit of these for environment.

To narrow it down, as you can see, cooling and lightening both together would have slight impact on production of greenhouse gases. Other than this, heating is more better energy sources in production of greenhouse gases arena in Australia in comparison with other source.
