The charts give information regarding the percentage of energy consumed and the proportion of the greenhouse gas emitted in an average Australian household.

Overall, It is immediately apparent that the figure for heating shows its superiority over that for other energy consumptions. However, that for water heating dominates the greenhouse gas emissions in Australian household.

Regarding the energy used, heating -the greatest proportion in this sector- accounts for 42%. This is followed by water heating, other appliances, and refrigeration, which are recorded at 30%, 15%, and 7% respectively. Besides, the smallest proportion of energy consumption in Australian household is lighting (4%) and cooling (2%).

Turning to the emissions of the greenhouse gas in Australian household, water heating (32%) have the largest percentage in this category. Then, there is the smaller proportion for other appliances, heating, and refrigeration, which are while the former is listed at 28%, the two latter are noted at around 15%. In addition, the exception is for lighting and cooling standing at 8% and 3% each -the minimum emission of greenhouse gas in this area.
