The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two different countries. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparison where relevant.

The line graph illustrates the volume of water used for three different sectors worldwide during the twentieth century, while the table compares the amount of water consumption in Brazil and Democratic Republic of Congo (D.R.C) in 2000.
Overall, the maximum and minimum quantity of water was used for agriculture and domestic uses respectively between 1900 to 2000. Moreover, the irrigated land, population, and water consumption in Brazil are significantly more than D.R.C.

It is clear that the global water used for agricultural purposes in 1900 was around 500 km3 and dramatically increased to about 3000 km3 in 2000. Water consumption in both industry and household use also rose until mid-century, and then industrial use grew gradually to around 1200 km3; however, domestic use grew more slowly to nearly 300 km3 at the end of the century.

It can be seen that the irrigated land in Brazil is 26500km2 which is significantly higher than that in D.R.C. In addition, the population of Brazil is 176 million; however, the number of people who lived in D.R.C was just 5.3 million in 2000. Water consumption in D.C.R was 8m3 per person, while it is 45 times less than in Brazil.
