The graph below show the demand for electricity in England during typical days in winter and summer. The pie chart shows how electricity is used in an average English home.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph compares the units of electricity used by the British in two seasons. The pie chart illustrates what electricity is used for in general English households.

It is noticeable that the demand for electricity in England is higher in the winter than in the summer. We can also see that British households spend most of their electricity on heating rooms and water.

The electricity used in the winter basically achieves a higher figure than in the summer, with over 10,000 units of electricity on average. During the winter, demand for electricity reaches a peak of over 40,000 units at night, and after 21:00 in the summer, we could see a similar increase. But the peak of summer electricity usage is from 12:00 to 15:00, with 20,000 units, the highest data collected in the summer.

The highest demand for electricity is for heating, which could be attributed to the cold winter, with a proportion of 52.5. Ovens, kettles, and washing machines use 17.5% of the electricity in an English household. The other two types, including lighting, TV, food mixers, and electric tools get the same rate of 15%.
