The line graph illustrates how many people from four South Asia countries went to Australia in order to study there between 1982 and 2000 and is measured in 1000 s.
Overall, it can be seen that the number of students increased from all countries, and that the highest number of students were from Indonesia.
In 1982, the quantity of students from Malaysia accounted for about 6, in contrast Indonesia accounted for 0. Then for the following year the number for Malaysia rose steadily to about 8.5 while Indonesia leveled off. Between 1984 and 1992, there was a gradual increase in the number of students from Indonesia while Malaysia experienced a margin growth and in 1992 the number of students for both countries accounted for about 10. Then they both followed the same pattern to finish the period at about 243 for Indonesia and about 17 for Malasya.
There were no students in Australia from Hong Kong and Singapore in 1982, for the next seven years the number of students from them leveled off. For the following 7 years while the number of students from Hong Kong rose at varying rates to finish the period at about 18, Singapore witnessed a gradual rise and comprised of about 19 in 2000.
