The graph below shows population figures for India and China since the year 2000 and predicted population growth up until 2050.

The graph illustrates growth of population over the years 2000 to present year. It also depicts the prediction of the population growth from the present year to year 2050.

At the year 2000, the population of China was recorded approximately as 1.25 billion which is greater than India’s population of 1 billion. The population of both countries showed an increase approximately till the year 2028. At the same year the population of both countries are predicted to be equal which is predicted as 1.45 billion.

After the year 2028 the population of China is estimated to decrease till the year 2050. Where as India’s population is expected to increase till 2050 and estimated to be around 1.6 billion. Although in the year 2000, population of China was more than the population of India, the population of India is predicted to be more than China’s population.
