According to the chart, the percentage of elder people in USA and Sweden were similar, until the intersection on 1995, Sweden’s number growth to 20 per cent while there was a period a stability in USA. However, both countries will have a surge again after 2025.
Nevertheless, Japan were the smallest number in 1940 at only 5 per cent. There was a little change about 30-year period. After that, a significant rise will be appeared after 2020 from 7 per cent to 10 per cent. Finally, the percentage of old people in Japan will be highest in 2040 with over 25 per cent of their citizen.
In conclusion, there have been a noticeable discrepancy in population age 65 and over by each country.
