Moreover, the most popular method of travelling was still a car at around 70% of total. It is followed by a significant decrease in using local bus from 429 miles in 1985 to 275 miles in 2000. However, walking and bicycle number remained stable during 15 years, less than 20 miles had changed for those transportation. Furthermore, the least appreciation in 1985 was taxi where bicycle became the lowest mode instead in 2000. Anyway, people in England tend to travel longer distance from 4,740 miles in 1985 to 6,475 miles in 2000.
In conclusion, people in England travel has longer distance of travel in 2000, and people favor using car.
