The line graph provides information about enrollment of local and international students' in Australian universities.
Overall, the number of local students outweigh students from other parts of the world and the count of both categories increased drastically throught the period.
Looking firstly at overseas students, in 2001, there were around 18000 students who got enrolled in Australian universities and 20000 was the total count. Over the years the two lines(total and commencing) saw and similar trend i.e. Students from different countries enrolled more and more increasing the count to 80000 in 2010.
With regards to local students, the number of new joinees was nearly same as international students(around 19000). Whereas, the total was almost double reporting to 400000 in 2001. The count of new joinees increased till 2002 recording to 220000 approximately, but it plummeted to nearly 190000 in 2006 after which it started to increase reporting 200000 students. In the same period the count of total student continued to increase and saw a steady flow from 2006 to 2010 reporting to 600000 at the end of the period.
