The sales of gold started at 200 million of Dirhams in the month of January, which significantly rose to 350 million dirhams in the mid April and then it gradually dropped during the next three months, with just above 100 million dirham sales in July. The sales again increased up to 200 million dirhams during August after which the sales in September equated to the sales in July. Later, the sales improved to just below 200 million dirhams after which they remained stable during the next two months at approximately 180 million dirhams and in December they rose very slightly to 195 million dirhams.
To conclude, the sales of gold in Dubai showed fluctuations during 2002, however by the end of 2002 it reached the prize at which it got started initially.
